Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 depending on experience plus bonus and pension

Location: Flexible with agile remote home working linked to our Manchester offices 

Hours per Week 37.5 hours per week

We also offer a consultancy service made up of highly experienced industry specialists, advising on all elements of rail operational planning and modelling including performance improvement, franchise and concession support, data capture and evaluation, as well as innovative bespoke software development capabilities.

Sales and Business Development Administrator

Due to continued expansion, Tracsis is looking for a talented and well-organised sales and marketing professional to support our current business development team to build our client base and enter new markets.  This role will be responsible for preparing and collating tenders; writing, designing and procuring marketing material; supporting the day to day requirements of the sales function and identifying and analysing sales opportunities.

Degree qualified, the successful candidate will offer a combination of strong organisational skills with a creative flair for marketing and sales. You will report directly to the Head of Sales and Marketing for Rail and will be expected to develop product and sector knowledge.

This role requires a motivated and friendly self-starter, capable of developing and implementing a sales and marketing plan, organising their time and managing multiple priorities.  We are looking for a candidate who will bring fresh ideas to the business with the dynamism to implement them on their own initiative. Excellent communication and presentation skills are required as the role will be required to liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Writing and collating tenders and responses to sales opportunities
  • Creating, reviewing and improving company sales literature and advertising material
  • Maintaining, enhancing and keeping up to date all aspects of the website
  • Managing the sales enquiry process including Pipeline and Project Initiation
  • Maintaining and enhancing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database
  • Obtaining client feedback and administering client accounts
  • Actively supporting the preparation of promotions, exhibition events and roadshows

Essential skills and experience

  • Demonstrable experience in sales and marketing,
  • A combination of creative, verbal and written communication skills and organisational skills
  • A proactive “hands-on” approach
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm and energy
  • Willing to travel in the UK initially and potentially overseas as you grow into the role

Desirable skills and experience

  • A background in b2b technology sales and marketing, ideally in the rail industry
